A bit about me…
My name’s Taylor. I am a self-taught woodworker and artist who is strongly motivated by a desire to create unique and attractive art. I truly enjoy the challenge of designing and re-designing subject images and landscapes in my own personal style. These designs are then hand-crafted into something known as lath art.
The main tools of my trade are:
iPad, Apple Pencil, and Procreate App (for design)
Scroll saw (for cutting pieces)
Table saw (for cutting frame)
Acrylic paint and water (for "paint-staining” the wood pieces and frame)
Wood glue and clamps (for assembling the pieces together)
I’ve cut my teeth on some family projects, refining my style and methods to the point where I’m confident that the art I make is something people will pay a fair price for. You’ll find some examples of what I’ve made here on this site, but I’m constantly working on something new - whether it’s for my own home or as a commission.
I’m always interested in working with others to come up with custom designs that meet their vision. If that sounds like something you might want, don’t hesitate to reach out!
